07:43 AM EDT, 07/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Rogers Communications (RCI-B.TO, RCI-A.TO) was at last look up 0.5% in US premarket on Wednesday as it reported lower second quarter adjusted net income, but it still beat expectations as total revenue increased slightly.
Adjusted net income attributable to shareholders fell slightly to $620 million, or $1.14 per adjusted diluted share, from $623 million, or $1.16 per share. The result beat the consensus analyst estimate of $1.10 per share.
Total revenue rose 2% to $5.22 billion over the same period, slightly above the $5.2 billion forecast.
Rogers also updated its 2025 guidance for total service revenue to reflect the anticipated contribution from its majority acquisition of the Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MSLE) business, which closed on July 1. The company now expects revenue to grow between 3% to 5%, up from the 0% to 3% that was initially forecast.
The company will pay a quarterly dividend totaling $0.50 on Oct. 3.
