07:56 AM EST, 11/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Rogers Sugar ( RSGUF ) on Thursday reported higher fourth-quarter adjusted profit and revenue.
The company, which operates cane sugar refineries and a sugar beet processing facility, said adjusted profit rose to $18.9 million, or $0.14, per basic share, from $11.3 million, or $0.11 per share, last year. The result was boosted by the strong performance of its sugar and maple segments.
Revenue rose almost 10% to $333 million, from $308 million. Rogers Sugar ( RSGUF ) will pay a $0.09 per share dividend on Jan. 9.
The company said it expects to deliver "strong" financial results in 2025. The sales volume expectation for sugar in fiscal year 2025 is set at 800,000 metric tonnes. The sales volume for maple is expected to grow moderately by 0.5 million pounds.
