Rosenberg Research Notes No Evidence Canada "Rips Off" The U.S. Auto Sector

08:06 AM EDT, 03/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Rosenberg Research says there isn't evidence that Canada has ripped off the United States when it comes to the automotive sector.

Canadian production has been flat over the past two decades and employment is 30% lower today than it was back then, noted Rosenberg Research. 77

Canadian exports of transportation equipment to the U.S. are actually lower today than they were in the spring of 2007.

In 2024, Canada ran a bilateral trade deficit of nearly $2 billion and has been running deficits on this score in three of the past four years, added Rosenberg.
