08:37 AM EDT, 09/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Royal Caribbean (RCL) said Tuesday that it has signed an agreement that secures its rights to build at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland until 2036.
Royal Caribbean said that as of Tuesday, Meyer Turku has built and has launched two Icon Class ships, with a third one scheduled for the summer of 2026 and Icon 4 scheduled to be delivered in 2027, the company said.
Meyer Turku and Royal Caribbean, along with other partners, plan to build more Icon Class ships in the next decade, Casimir Lindholm, the shipyard's chief executive officer, said.
Royal Caribbean said that orders beyond Icon 5 are subject to the exercise of options and execution of firm construction agreements.
Shares of the company were up 1.1% in recent Tuesday premarket activity.
