10:21 AM EDT, 07/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- RTX (RTX) said Friday its Pratt & Whitney unit was expanding its partnership with SR Technics with the induction of its first geared turbofan jet engine at SR Technics' maintenance, repair and overhaul facility in Zurich, Switzerland.

According to the companies, SR Technics will provide full disassembly, assembly and test services for the PW1100G-JM engine used on the Airbus A320neo family of passenger jets. The facility becomes the seventh active location in Europe and the 17th facility globally supporting Pratt & Whitney's GTF engines.

SR Technics has been providing maintenance, repair and overhaul services for various Pratt & Whitney engines for 35 years and joined the company's GTF network in 2022, RTX said.
