08:34 AM EDT, 04/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- RTX (RTX) said Thursday that it has signed an agreement with Engie North America's Engie Resources unit in which the latter will provide 12 RTX facilities in Texas with 100% renewable electricity.
Running through 2033, the deal will start with six RTX sites in Texas this year and expand to 12 locations by 2028, RTX said.
The deal is RTX's "largest renewable energy procurement to date" as it nearly doubles the company's usage of renewable electricity in 2023, the company said, adding it will help achieve its goal of achieving 10% renewable electricity by 2025 and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 46% from 2019 levels by 2030.
