RTX to Pay $200 Million Penalty to Settle Alleged US Export Laws Violations, State Department Documents Show

11:52 AM EDT, 08/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- RTX (RTX) agreed to pay a civil penalty of $200 million to settle allegations of violations of US export laws, according to documents posted on the website of the US Department of State's Directorate of Defense Trade Controls on Friday.

The penalty stems from alleged violations of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations related to unauthorized exports of defense articles to prohibited countries, according to the agency.

According to the consent agreement, the company accepted its obligation to maintain effective export control oversight for regulated activities.

RTX didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
