03:42 AM EDT, 07/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- RTX (RTX) unit Pratt & Whitney has completed a key design milestone for its Valox 1500 engine, the company said Tuesday.

Pratt & Whitney said it is now advancing the engine design toward ground testing after completing the assessment.

The company has received a US Air Force contract valued at more than $10 million in late 2025 to advance development of the engine, it said.
