10:35 AM EDT, 05/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- RTX (RTX) unit Raytheon said Tuesday it has completed the first flight test of its PhantomStrike radar, with the system successfully tracking various airborne targets and accurately mapping the terrain.
The gallium nitride-powered radar is designed for a range of platforms, including uncrewed and light-attack aircraft, fighter jets, helicopters and ground-based towers, the company said.
The company is manufacturing these radars in Forest, Mississippi; Tucson, Arizona; and Scotland, with support from Raytheon UK.
