Jun 9, 2025 7:20 AM

10:07 AM EDT, 06/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- RTX (RTX) said Monday its Raytheon unit was awarded a $646 million contract from the US Navy to provide four additional SPY-6 radars, bringing the total ordered to 42 systems.

The company said the award is the fourth option exercised under a multiyear agreement signed in March 2022, which could reach up to $3 billion over five years.

Work under the latest contract will run through 2028 and be carried out mainly at Raytheon's radar development site in Andover, Massachusetts, RTX said.
