10:14 AM EDT, 06/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- RTX (RTX) unit Raytheon and Northrop Grumman ( NOC ) said Thursday they conducted four tests of flight-ready highly loaded grain solid rocket motors for the US Army's next-generation short-range Interceptor, a new short-range missile.

The latest round of testing included three static firings in different environments, followed by a successful ballistic flight demonstration.

Additional flight tests are planned in the coming months, the companies said.
