RTX Unit to Provide Interoperable Avionics System to UK Chinooks

10:34 AM EST, 11/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- RTX (RTX) unit Collins Aerospace said Tuesday it received a $19 million contract from the Department of Defense to provide Common Avionics Architecture System avionics management suite for the UK Royal Air Force's H-47 Chinook helicopters.

The cockpit upgrade will help make UK Chinooks interoperable with the US Chinooks using the same avionics system and technology, the company said.

Collins Aerospace said it will also be responsible for completing data analysis and testing as part of the contract.
