RTX Unit Wins NASA Contract to Build Landsat Next Instruments

05:28 PM EDT, 06/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- RTX (RTX) unit Raytheon will provide three instruments and related services in support of the Landsat Next mission based at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, NASA said Wednesday.

The contract includes an option for one additional instrument, the agency said. It also includes a cost-plus-award-fee base period and a cost-plus-fixed-fee option period with a total value of $506.7 million.

The Landsat Next mission is a partnership between NASA and the US Geological Survey to advance Earth observing technologies, science, and applications, the agency said.
