RTX Wins $205 Million US Navy Contract

08:18 AM EDT, 09/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- RTX (RTX) said Monday it has been awarded a $205 million contract from the US Navy for continued production of the Phalanx Close-In Weapon System.

The company said it will provide upgrades, conversions, overhauls and related equipment under this contract.

The Phalanx weapon system is a rapid-fire, computer-controlled, radar-guided gun and is installed on all US Navy surface combatant ship classes.

The company said that work on this contract will take place in Louisville and other US sites through 2029.
