03:59 AM EDT, 10/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- RTX's (RTX) Raytheon said Wednesday it has broken ground on a $53 million, 23,000 square-foot expansion of its lower tier air and missile defense sensor production plant in Andover, Massachusetts.

Raytheon said it is making enhancements at the facility to speed up deliveries of the radar, which is designed to combat threats such as hypersonic weapons.

Expansion construction is expected to finish late next year, the company said.
