06:07 AM EDT, 06/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- RTX (RTX) unit Raytheon said Tuesday that the Norwegian government will join the development of the GhostEye missile defense sensor.
The radar's development will be funded under an existing collaboration deal entered into by the company, the Norwegian government, and Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace in October 2023 for the development of the Norwegian advanced surface-to-air missile system. The radar is the first formal project under the collaboration, Raytheon said.
The company said it will be responsible for the design and development of the radar in the US, while Kongsberg will co-develop key radar subassemblies in Norway.
