08:55 AM EDT, 06/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- RTX's (RTX) Raytheon unit said Thursday it has won a $506 million NASA contract to set up the Landsat Next Instrument Suite.

The suite, which includes three next-generation space instruments, will observe Earth from three identical observatories from low-Earth orbit, the company said, adding that it will gather images of the planet's surface every six days to detect natural and human-induced changes.
