RTX's Raytheon Wins $192 Million US Navy Contract to Upgrade Electronic Warfare System

10:30 AM EDT, 10/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- RTX's (RTX) Raytheon unit said Tuesday that it was awarded a $192 million contract by the US Navy to work on an enhanced Next Generation Jammer Mid-Band electronic warfare system.

The modified system, to be called the Next Generation Jammer Mid-Band Expansion, will have an extended frequency range to counter additional threats, the company said.

The upgrade will be undertaken through 2027, the company added.

Shares of RTX were nearly 2% higher in recent trading.
