MOSCOW, March 11 (Reuters) - A contractor at Russia's
Sakhalin 1 oil and gas project has filed a lawsuit to Moscow
Arbitration Court, seeking damages of 944 million roubles ($10
million) from U.S. Parker Drilling Management Services, court
documents showed on Tuesday.
Details have not been disclosed.
The contractor Sakhalin Drilling Services (SDS) provided its
services to Sakhalin 1, operated by U.S. major ExxonMobiil
until October 2022.
Before September 2022, SDS worked as part of the Parker
Drilling Group. SDS was known as Parker Far East Drilling
Services LLC before September 2022.
In 2022, Exxon took a $4.6 billion impairment charge for
exiting the development in the Pacific island of Sakhalin, its
largest investment in Russia, after the start of what Moscow has
called a special military operation in Ukraine.
