Ryanair expects Boeing to lift 737 MAX output to 38 a month by end of summer

(Corrects headline and paragraph 1 to show forecast referred to production, not deliveries)

DUBLIN (Reuters) - Ryanair expects Boeing ( BA ) to produce 38 of its 737 MAX planes per month by the end of the summer and possibly up to 42 by October, subject to U.S. Federal Aviation Administration approval, Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary said on Monday.

O'Leary said he was "reasonably hopeful" that Boeing ( BA ) will manage to build up production, adding that Boeing's ( BA ) delivery delays were not tied to supply chain issues.

(This story has been corrected to show that the forecast referred to production, not deliveries, in the headline and in paragraph 1)
