10:03 AM EDT, 09/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Sabre (SABR) early Thursday said it has signed a multi-year strategic agreement with Icelandic discount carrier Play airlines, with Sabre-connected travel agencies gaining access to Play's network of flights between Nordic countries in Europe as well as the US and Canada.

Play currently flies to about 40 different destinations, including Toronto and Washington, DC, in North America, the companies said, without disclosing financial details of their pact.

Sabre shares recently were 3% higher soon after Thursday's opening bell.
