04:25 PM EDT, 09/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Sagicor Financial ( SGCFF ) on Monday appointed David Noel as chief operating officer, Caribbean, effective immediately.
Noel most recently served as COO for Canadian Banking at Scotiabank (BNS.TO). Before that, he held senior leadership roles across the Caribbean, including chief executive of Scotiabank Jamaica and its regional branches, as well as managing director of Scotiabank Barbados and head of Caribbean East, according to the statement.
At Sagicor, he will report to chief executive Andre Mousseau and oversee operational strategy, execution, and performance across the Caribbean region. Noel will also become a member of the company's executive committee.
"His leadership experience in our core markets, combined with his broad expertise developed in a complex organization in Canada, prepares him well to lead Sagicor's strategic efforts to use global best practices to transform our Caribbean operations," Mousseau said.
Sagicor shares closed up $0.02 to $8.13 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
