10:45 AM EDT, 03/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Sagimet Biosciences ( SGMT ) said Tuesday the US Food and Drug Administration's Division of Dermatology and Dentistry has cleared its investigational new drug application for TVB-3567.

The company said the clearance allows it to enter clinical development for the treatment of acne, with a first-in-human phase 1 trial planned in 2025.

TVB-3567 is its second fatty acid synthase inhibitor, it said.
