Salesforce Reportedly in Talks to Acquire Informatica

05:56 AM EDT, 04/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Salesforce ( CRM ) is in discussions to acquire Informatica ( INFA ) , multiple news outlets reported, citing unnamed sources

The customer service software company is discussing proposals to buy Informatica ( INFA ) for a price that is below its Friday close of $38.48, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the talks.

The two companies could reach a deal within a week, Bloomberg reported, adding that the talks could stretch longer or falter.

Reuters reported that private equity firm Permira and the Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board together hold a controlling 75% stake in Informatica ( INFA ).

Salesforce ( CRM ) and Informatica ( INFA ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.

Salesforce ( CRM ) shares were down 2.5% in premarket activity Monday while Informatica ( INFA ) dropped 2.1%.
