06:33 AM EST, 12/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Salesforce ( CRM ) said Thursday that it has expanded its initiative with the US Department of Transportation, allowing deployment of artificial intelligence agents to undertake a variety of tasks.
The company said that the agency will use Salesforce's ( CRM ) Agentforce AI agent platform to handle routine tasks, offer customer support, and analyze weather and traffic trends to generate immediate alerts with recommended strategies to mitigate traffic and infrastructure incidents.
AI agents will also go over grant applications, verify compliance, flag inconsistencies or errors, and draft recommendations for human review and approval, the company said.
The agency will also utilize government-specific capabilities from Agentforce Public Sector to streamline complaint management and investigations, quickly identify and respond to dangerous drivers and safety risks, and accelerate approval times and quicker deployment of federal funds for critical infrastructure projects.
