07:31 AM EDT, 07/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Salesforce ( CRM ) shareholders voted against a compensation plan for its CEO Marc Benioff and other top executives, a regulatory filing showed late Monday.

The resolution to approve the plan received 339.3 million votes in favor and 404.8 million against, the filing showed.

Benioff's total compensation was $39.6 million for fiscal 2024, up from $29.9 million in the previous year, Reuters reported.

Advisory firms Glass Lewis and Institutional Shareholder Services both recommended that investors vote down the measure, CNBC reported.
