05:08 PM EDT, 09/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Salesforce ( CRM ) said late Thursday it agreed to acquire data protection provider Own Company for roughly $1.9 billion in cash.

The transaction, which requires regulatory approvals, is expected to be completed in Salesforce's ( CRM ) fiscal Q4, it said.

While Salesforce ( CRM ) anticipates no change to its fiscal 2025 financial guidance based on the expected timing of closing of the transaction, it expects to achieve accretion on a free cash flow basis in the second fiscal year after the deal closes.
