Samsung Galaxy Note 9: Here's what's in store for you
Aug 10, 2018 3:26 AM

South Korean electronics major Samsung has unveiled its top-notch Samsung Galaxy Note 9 in New York, United States of America, on Thursday.

The mobile, the company's flagship from the Note series, comes with plenty of features for its users. The phone has been priced at $999 while the higher 512GB variant is priced at $1,249.

DESIGN

While I haven’t had the chance yet to get my hands on the device, the Note 9 looks a lot like its predecessor. With a 6.4-inch SuperAMOLED display and a 4,000mAh battery inside, the device is all about power. Keep in mind, this is largest battery inside a Note device so far and speaking of battery on a Note device, I am sure it’s a super safe as well. After all Samsung wouldn’t want to ‘burn’ it’s finger (read: phone) twice!

S PEN

One of the biggest highlights on this one is the new S Pen stylus. True loyalists or note heads as the company like to call them, have been holding on the S pen for many years now. Starting with Note 9, the S Pen supports super-capacitive charging, which means it’s charge itself as soon as you stick the pen into the handset.

CAMERA

On the back panel the Note 9 sports a 12-megapixel sensor with a F1.5-2.4 variable aperture lens coupled with a the secondary 12-megapixel image sensor with an aperture of F2.4. with a 2X zoom lens.

BIXBY 2.0

The Note 9 will also be the first to support the updated and hopefully a smarter Bixby 2.0 that Samsung launched in October last year. With the new update comes in new skills like ordering an Uber or making a restaurant reservation, this device will also support Google Assistant. You know, just in case!

RELEASE DATE AND PRICE

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 goes on sale on August 24 and has been priced at INR 67,900 for the 128GB and INR 84,900 for the 512GB variant.
