Sep 17, 2025 10:31 AM

Deal Facilitated by Viking Mergers & Acquisitions

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 17, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Blue Dot Readi-Mix has expanded its footprint into the Greenville, S.C., market with the acquisition of Sandlapper Concrete. The deal brings together two companies with long-standing reputations for quality, integrity, and customer service.

Founded in 2005 by Scott Griffin, Tony Griffin, and Paul Cochrane, Blue Dot Readi-Mix operates nine plants across the Carolinas. The acquisition represents Blue Dot's continued commitment to strategic growth while preserving the values and relationships that have driven Sandlapper's success in S.C.

"We have always respected the people at Sandlapper for their professionalism, integrity, and commitment to service," said Scott Griffin in a recent announcement. "Their core values closely align with our own, making this a natural next step for our organization."

Sandlapper Concrete, founded by Mark Uldrick and Steve Gray, has been a trusted supplier to contractors across the Upstate of S.C., operating plants in Simpsonville and Duncan. Under the new ownership, Sandlapper will continue to operate under its established name while gaining access to Blue Dot's network of resources and industry expertise.

"We are excited for our employees and customers," said Uldrick in a recent announcement. "They can expect business as usual on the job site, combined with enhanced resources and support from the established network of masonry and concrete expertise that comes from being part of the Blue Dot Readi-Mix family."

Senior Advisor Tim McGlone and Managing Partner Dan Wilson of Viking M&A represented Blue Dot in the acquisition, working to identify and engage interested sellers.

"Our role was to help Blue Dot find the right partner for its expansion," said McGlone. "Sandlapper Concrete stood out for its strong reputation, talented team, and loyal customer base. It was clear this combination would create long-term benefits for both organizations."
