Sandstorm Gold Shareholders Approve Acquisition by Royal Gold

05:10 PM EDT, 10/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Sandstorm Gold ( SAND ) said late Thursday that its shareholders have approved the proposed plan of arrangement with Royal Gold ( RGLD ) .

The transaction, under which Royal Gold ( RGLD ) will indirectly acquire all outstanding Sandstorm shares, was approved by 98.7% of votes cast, the company said.

Royal Gold ( RGLD ) shareholders approved issuing new shares for the acquisition, with over 99% of the votes cast in favor and deal closing is expected on Oct. 20.

Following completion, Sandstorm intends to delist from the Toronto Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange, it added.
