07:48 AM EDT, 03/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Santander Brasil said Friday that CEO Mario Roberto Opice Leao will step down by July, marking the end of an 11-year tenure at the bank.
The company named Gilson Finkelsztain, currently chief executive of B3, as his successor, subject to regulatory approvals.
Santander Brasil said the transition will be conducted in a structured manner, with Leao remaining in his role until mid-2026 to ensure continuity. Finkelsztain brings experience from roles at Citibank and JPMorgan, as well as prior experience at Santander, the bank added.
