08:29 AM EST, 11/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- SAP's (SAP) proposed commitments to address alleged anticompetitive practices in providing maintenance and support services for the Germany-based company's popular business management software are now open for comments from "all interested parties," the EU antitrust regulator said Thursday.
The European Commission said it is inviting interested parties to provide feedback on the European software maker's proposed commitments nearly within a month.
SAP has offered to clarify customer options, provide wider access to flexible contracts, and reduce certain fees for customers who move on and off service contracts, the regulator said.
The commitments offered by SAP would remain in force for ten years and will apply to all current and future customers worldwide, the regulator added.
The Commission said preliminary findings from an investigation launched in September alleged that SAP used its dominant position in software sales to bind customers to their support services in a way that violates antitrust rules.
Shares of SAP were down more than 3% in recent Friday premarket activity.
