05:17 PM EST, 11/07/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Saputo ( SAPIF ) on Thursday after-hours reported a lower third quarter profit but revenue was up.
The dairy-products company said its adjusted profit, excluding most one-time items, fell to $157 million, or $0.37 per share, from $181 million, or $0.43, last year.
Revenue increased 8.9%, to $4.7 billion.
Saputo ( SAPIF ) intends to commence a normal course issuer bid, to buy back up to 2% of its shares, from November 19, for one year.
The company will pay a dividend of $0.19 per share on Dec. 20 to shareholders of record on Dec.10.
Saputo ( SAPIF ) closed up $0.18 to $26.77 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
