01:52 PM EDT, 08/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Sasol's ( SSL ) shares fell 4.6% in recent Tuesday trading after fiscal full-year results trailed estimates by analysts, and the company omitted a final dividend, citing high debt.
In the 12 months ended June 30, so-called headline earnings per share fell to 18.19 South African rand ($1.02) from 53.75 rand a year earlier, the company said Tuesday.
Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected 40.26 rand.
Revenue, or external turnover, fell to 275.1 billion rand from 289.7 billion a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected 278.4 billion.
