Schrodinger, Ajax Expand Collaboration to Include New Target
Jul 17, 2025 6:08 AM

08:36 AM EDT, 07/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Schrodinger (SDGR) and Ajax Therapeutics said Thursday they have expanded their research collaboration agreement to include a new Janus kinase target.

The expansion is aimed at "generating a new class of inhibitors that extend beyond oncology indications to include inflammatory and autoimmune disorders," said Martin Vogelbaum, chief executive officer of Ajax.

The companies said their partnership was first established in 2019 with the aim of using Schrodinger's computational platform and Ajax's structural biology background to develop a pipeline of new molecules, with a focus on Janus kinase inhibitors.

Under the terms of the new agreement, Ajax and Schrodinger will collaborate on the discovery of the development candidate while Ajax will oversee clinical development and commercialization, the companies said.

Schrodinger will be eligible for discovery and development milestone payments similar to the terms of its original agreement, as well as sales milestones and single-digit royalties on net sales of products generated by the new target, the companies said.

Schrodinger shares were up around 2% in recent premarket activity.
