05:23 PM EDT, 09/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Scorpio Tankers ( SBBA ) said Thursday its President Robert Bugbee purchased 2,343 call option contracts on the fuel tankers operator's stock for $1.5 million.

The contracts, which have a strike price of $67.50, will expire in January 2025, and give Bugbee the right to buy 234,300 shares, the company said.

Shares of Scorpio Tankers ( SBBA ) were up almost 3% in after-hours trading.
