Scorpio Tankers Sells Two Tankers for $85 Million; Enters Time Charter-out Deal for 2018-Built Vessel

11:20 AM EDT, 09/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Scorpio Tankers ( SBBA ) said Tuesday it agreed to sell two 2014-built scrubber fitted medium range product tankers STI San Antonio and STI Texas City for $42.5 million each.

The sales are expected to close in Q4, according to the company.

Scorpio Tankers ( SBBA ) agreed to a three-year time charter-out deal for the 2018-built medium range product tanker STI Jardins at $29,550 per day.

An oil major is chartering the vessel and the time charter is expected to begin in Q3 or Q4, the company added.

Shares of the Scorpio Tankers ( SBBA ) were down 3.3% in recent trading.
