10:07 AM EDT, 07/31/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Scotiabank (BNS.TO) said Friday that new "knowledge agents" that simplify employee access to internal sources are now available through Scotia Intelligence.

These agents will help employees execute work more efficiently and support them in "higher-judgement" client-facing work, the bank said.

More than 71,000 Scotiabank employees have access to Scotia Intelligence capabilities, generating 14 million actions since it launched in March 2026, a statement said. More than 80% of its global workforce and over 90% of directors and above have completed at least one internal AI training course, it added.

"The next phase of AI is about moving from information access to intelligent action," said Chief Information Officer Tim Clark. "We are simplifying access to information from approved internal sources that allows employees to easily connect information across systems and take action with greater confidence. These capabilities set the foundation for a future where AI will play a more active role in orchestrating workflows, helping our teams work smarter and deliver greater value for clients."

Scotiabank shares were last seen up C$0.20, to C$123.30 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
