June retail sales are expected to post about a 1.5% month-over-month seasonally adjusted nominal gain based largely on Statistics Canada's advance guidance, which can be subject to material revision, noted the bank.

Details like volumes and prices and drivers will matter, stated the bank.

Investors will also get the first reading for July's nominal sales with no details, added Scotiabank
