08:03 AM EDT, 08/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Canada updates the payroll employment, earnings and hours (SEPH) for June at 8:30 a.m. ET on Thursday, said Scotiabank.

The SEPH report is "inexcusably" lagging when compared with the Labour Force Survey (LFS) for August out next week, and it ,is only focused on payrolls while the LFS also includes off-payroll workers, and SEPH is subject to massive monthly revisions that make it "unreliable," stated the bank.

Overall, the payrolls report isn't "terribly useful," according to Scotiabank.
