08:06 AM EST, 11/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- The Scotts Miracle-Gro Co. ( SMG ) said Tuesday that Chief Financial Officer Matt Garth will step down on Dec. 31.

Vice President and Treasurer Mark Scheiwer will begin serving as interim CFO and chief accounting officer on Jan. 1, the company said.

Chief Operating Officer Nate Baxter was also named president, while Chris Hagedorn, president of Scotts Miracle-Gro's ( SMG ) Hawthorne Gardening Co. unit, was appointed as executive vice president and chief of staff to CEO Jim Hagedorn, the company added.
