Seabridge Gold Says KSM Project Tunnel License Faces New Legal Challenge From Tudor Gold
Oct 7, 2025 7:19 AM

09:57 AM EDT, 10/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Seabridge Gold ( SA ) said Tuesday that Tudor Gold has filed a petition in the British Columbia Supreme Court against the province's Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship and a Seabridge unit that owns the KSM Project.

The petition seeks a judicial review of a decision from September 2024 by the ministry to give a license of occupation to build and operate the KSM Project's Mitchell Treaty Tunnels, Seabridge said.

The MTT are two 23 km long parallel tunnels, with about 12.5 km passing through Tudor's Treaty Project mineral claims. Tudor is seeking an order quashing the ministry's decision to grant the license, among other things, the company said.

Seabridge said the license of occupation is unaffected by Tudor's filing and will remain in place until successfully overturned.

"We have attempted to find terms to avoid a conflict like this with Tudor, but their demands have been unreasonable. Tudor now has three concurrent, separate legal actions all directed at voiding authorizations for the [tunnels]," said Seabridge Chief Executive Rudi Fronk.
