Seabridge Gold Says Tudor Challenges Tunnel Authorizations for KSM Project
Oct 3, 2025 4:56 AM

07:30 AM EDT, 10/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Seabridge Gold ( SA ) said Friday that Tudor Gold has filed a Notice of Civil Claim in the Supreme Court of British Columbia against the Province of British Columbia, challenging the legal effect of a conditional mineral reserve.

The company said the claim principally challenges the legal effect of a conditional mineral reserve that requires Tudor not to obstruct, endanger, or interfere with the construction, operation, or maintenance of the KSM Project's Mitchell Treaty Tunnels.

Seabridge Gold ( SA ) added that the claim alleges misrepresentation by the Province regarding Tudor's rights as a mineral claims holder and argues the Reserve amounts to an expropriation of Tudor's mineral claims.

The claim further contends the Province lacks authority to grant Seabridge rights to use areas within the Treaty Project Claims, among other issues, the company added.
