07:06 PM EDT, 08/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The US Securities and Exchange Commission canceled a meeting scheduled for Friday on proposing new crypto-related rules, multiple outlets reported Thursday.
The SEC said the meeting would be rescheduled due to an unforeseen scheduling issue, according to the report.
The agency had been set to vote on proposing exemptions that would allow crypto startups to raise capital without complying with traditional securities offering rules, the report said.
