Redbook US same-store sales rose by 4 .9% from a year earlier in the week ended July 20 after a 4.8% year-over-year increase in the previous week.
In corporate news, United Parcel Service ( UPS ) fell short of Q2 estimates and tempered full-year revenue guidance as the package-delivery firm expects US customers to continue trading down between its services. Its shares tumbled past 13%.
