08:47 AM EDT, 03/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were edging higher pre-bell Thursday, with The Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) and Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) advancing marginally.

CAVA Group ( CAVA ) will replace Altair Engineering ( ALTR ) in the S&P MidCap 400, effective prior to trading on March 31, S&P Global said. Shares of CAVA Group ( CAVA ) were up over 2% premarket.
