08:55 AM EDT, 04/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks declined pre-bell Monday as the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) was 2% lower and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) recently fell by 2.6%.

Carnival (CCL) said it is launching Carnival Festivale, the fourth ship in its Excel class ships, in spring 2027. The company also said its fifth Excel class ship, Carnival Tropicale, will be delivered in spring 2028. Shares of Carnival were down nearly 6% premarket.
