08:53 AM EDT, 06/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were slightly lower premarket Tuesday with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) marginally declining and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) down 0.1%.

Dollar General ( DG ) shares were up more than 9% after the company reported higher fiscal Q1 earnings and net sales.
