08:53 AM EDT, 06/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were advancing pre-bell Friday as the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) was up 0.1% and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) was 0.7% higher recently.

Nike ( NKE ) shares were up more than 11% after the company reported fiscal Q4 net income and net sales that topped analysts' expectations.
