03:29 PM EDT, 07/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were higher late Monday afternoon, with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) up 0.1% and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) adding 0.6%.

In corporate news, Airbnb ( ABNB ) is facing a lawsuit from Los Angeles, which accuses the home rental company of allowing price gouging on at least 2,000 properties during January's Southern California wildfires, City Attorney Hydee Feldstein Soto said Friday. Airbnb ( ABNB ) shares shed 0.5%.
